Clearly my ambitions to become a faithful blogger are not off to a brilliant start, but I won’t give up.
I just returned from a fabulous week in Ireland, where I had really hoped to write. But with 3 charming travelling companions, there was little time for quiet reflection. So if nothing else, I can update the blog with a few photos from the trip.
On our travel toward the west, we stopped in a fantastic spot called the Aherlow House Hotel and Lodges, just outside Tipperary, overlooking the Galtee Mountains. I wish we could have stayed longer.
The highlight of the trip was the visit to the West Coast and a couple days in the whimsical village of Doolin. We stayed in the fabulous Daly’s House B&B that I would highly recommend.
The final highlight location was the lively city of Dublin. Again we found an excellent B&B – though a modern one this time called Number 31.
Finally, I remember our final dinner in Dublin at the Canal Bank Café which was a magical time to talk and dream over the most fantastic fresh pasta and their famous chicken wings.
I am completely charmed by Ireland – its people and its lively culture. Hope I’ll find a way to return again…
