One of the benefits of a personal blog-site is that you get to make your own rules. One of my rules is that diverse content is allowed. I enjoy the flexibility of writing personal reflections mixed in with my thoughts about health care, global issues, Canadian politics and more. It means that today I can post a visual reflection of our week in Panama. The pictures below should capture the wonderful mood of these days. Of course the best part was the joy of spending 7 uninterrupted days together with our kids.
The added bonus was the beautiful and warm setting of Panama. We had enough of a glimpse of the people, the geography and the history of this fascinating country to appreciate its unique appeal. With the economic potential that will accompany the expansion of the canal due to be opened in 2014, there is good evidence that the future is bright for Panama.
